  • Noa Deane
In Episode 17 of Still Noise I catch up with professional surfer and good friend Noa Deane.Noa is one of the world’s most progressive and fearless free surfers, celebrated for his explosive style, gravity-defying aerials, and untamed approach to some of the planet’s most formidable waves. Recognised from a young age for his talent in competition, Noa soon carved out his own path, shifting his focus to free surfing and redefining what’s possible on a board. Away from the ocean, he pours that same raw energy into music as the founder of his band Blistar. In this episode, Noa shares stories of growing up as the son of legendary surfer and shaper Wayne Deane, life as a ‘horse-dad,’ wild travel tales, his engagement, and plenty more.Grab a beer, turn up the volume and come join the chat with myself and freakishly talented mate, Noa Deane.Send us a textSupport the show

  • Teka Wilson - Part 1
In Episode 16, Part 1, of Still Noise I have the honor of sharing some stories with Teka Wilson.Teka was a professional bullfighter, who took his skills to arenas in the United States and Papua New Guinea. He was 13 time Australian Bullfighting Champion in 3 different associations, but it now safely retired from being a rodeo clown. Away from the ring, he is a dedicated husband and father, a talented musician, and a passionate world traveller. His story reflects both the grit and bravery of life as a bullfighter, and the creativity and warmth he brings to family, music, and adventure. Teka and I spoke for hours, so Episode 16 will be released in two parts. Part 1 we talk predominantly about early days and bull fighting and part 2, well, I guess you will have to wait and see... Pour a glass of fine liquor and prepare to be mind-blown by the legend that is Teka Wilson.Send us a textSupport the show
