• Discomfort of Doing Boundaries Work

  “Making people feel uncomfortable” is a huge reason why people avoid asserting their boundaries. Here, Seulki recounts a personal experience of doing her own boundaries work in a real life setting, and the lessons that ensue. 1. People with better boundaries often get yelled or are faulted by people with poorer boundaries. So the more healed person is considered "bad." And the less healed person considers themselves "good." 2. Bringing the situation INTO consent is not “bad,” it’s “good,” and yet the general preference is often to keep things outside of consent...and therefore, stay "bad." 3. You have to be willing to walk away...aka lose the relationship. If you are not firm on this, you are not respecting your own boundaries.
