An appeals court has affirmed a federal judge’s ruling requiring the Kennedy Center to remove President Donald Trump’s name from its building by the end of Friday. Plus, after months of war, weeks of a shaky truce, and 40-odd unfulfilled presidential claims that a deal to end the conflict in Iran is near, both the White House and Tehran now appear optimistic about what comes next. Both sides are now indicating they are close to reaching some kind of memorandum of understanding ahead of further negotiations to settle the conflict for good.

Late today, just hours after promising heavy new airstrikes and threatening to take a piece of Iranian territory, President Trump said a deal to end the conflict was at hand.
