The Haunted McPike Mansion: Spirits That Won’t Leave, Part One | Grave Talks CLASSIC

    05/06/2026 | 35 min
This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
Some homes have a presence so strong that time cannot erase it. The McPike Mansion is one of those homes. Nestled in Alton, Illinois, this historic house has earned a reputation as one of the most haunted mansions in America. Abandoned for years, the property fell into disrepair, yet its energy never faded. When Sharon, the current owner, took on the enormous task of restoring the estate, she quickly realized she was not alone.
Whispers, shadows, and unseen presences revealed themselves to her as she poured her heart into bringing the mansion back to life. But Sharon does not see the spirits as intruders. Instead, she views them as residents who never left, caretakers of the past still tied to their beloved home.
Paranormal investigators Don and Laney of Spectrewaves have stepped inside McPike Mansion and experienced the phenomena firsthand. From unexplained footsteps to intelligent interactions, the spirits here seem to linger with intent. But who are they? Former owners? Servants? Or entities that predate the mansion entirely?
The mysteries of McPike Mansion continue to grow with every investigation. Some claim the activity is residual—echoes of moments replaying endlessly. Others believe the entities are very much aware, conscious spirits who still take part in the life of the home, refusing to be forgotten.

Inside the Villisca Axe Murder House: Evil Still Lives Here, Part Two | Grave Talks CLASSIC

    05/06/2026 | 25 min
This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO
On June 10th, 1912, the quiet town of Villisca, Iowa, became the site of one of the most horrifying crimes in American history. Inside a modest family home, eight people—including two young sisters and their friends—were savagely butchered as they slept. To this day, the Villisca Axe Murders remain one of the nation’s darkest unsolved mysteries.
The brutality of the crime stunned the town and echoed far beyond Iowa’s borders. Some believed a traveling preacher came to Villisca to deliver vengeance in the most violent way imaginable. Others whisper that something far more sinister may have taken control of the man who wielded the axe. With no modern forensic science available at the time, speculation and fear spread like wildfire. The case became the stuff of legend—and haunting.
Today, more than a century later, the Villisca Axe Murder House still stands, and visitors claim the energy within its walls has never left. Disembodied voices. Phantom footsteps. Unseen hands brushing across the skin. Many investigators believe the victims’ spirits still linger, while others suspect the evil that fueled the massacre remains in residence, feeding off fear.
In this chilling conversation, we sit down with Dane Eckelman to dive into the history, the lore, and the paranormal experiences tied to this infamous house of horror. Was this simply the work of a madman? Or did something much darker grip the soul of the killer, pushing him to commit an act so depraved that its echoes still reverberate through time?

The Crying Woman in the Empty Room | Real Ghost Stories

    05/06/2026 | 28 min
Maggie had experienced strange things before, but mostly as a child—fleeting moments she eventually learned to ignore or explain away.
    That changed in college.
Living off campus near Humboldt State, she became used to hearing her roommate argue and cry late at night over a troubled long-distance relationship. So when she woke up one night to the sound of sobbing coming from across the hall, she barely thought twice about it.
Until the next morning. Because according to her roommate, no one had been crying at all.
At first, Maggie tried to brush it off as exhaustion or stress. But over the following months, the crying kept returning… even after the room sat completely empty.
And years later, after moving to a different city entirely, someone else finally heard it too.

The Old Hospital on College Hill: Where the Dead Still Roam, Part Two | Grave Talks CLASSIC

    04/06/2026 | 34 min
This is a CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO
On March 3rd, 1928, the town of Williamson, West Virginia, celebrated the opening of a state-of-the-art facility: the Williamson Hospital. For 60 years, it served as the heart of the community. Within its walls, countless lives began, countless lives ended, and unthinkable traumas unfolded. Generations of families were touched by its legacy.
In 1988, the hospital closed its doors for good. The patients left. The staff moved on. The hallways fell silent. Or so it seemed.
Today, the building is known as The Old Hospital on College Hill, and while its days as a functioning medical facility are over, the energy of the past has never truly gone away. Visitors, paranormal investigators, and staff all report that the hospital remains active—just not in the way it once was. Spirits of doctors, nurses, and patients are said to still roam the halls, carrying out their duties as if time never stopped.
Footsteps echo in empty corridors. Disembodied voices whisper through examination rooms. Some claim to have seen figures in white coats moving through the wards, still working to “help the sick.” Others feel an oppressive sadness in the rooms where trauma unfolded, or hear faint cries of patients long gone.
Now open to the public, The Old Hospital on College Hill offers both historical tours and paranormal investigations, giving visitors a chance to experience firsthand what lingers in this haunted landmark.
On this episode of The Grave Talks, we speak with Tonya Webb, co-owner and manager of the hospital, to uncover its history, its hauntings, and why so many believe the building never truly closed its doors.
Some hospitals heal the living. This one serves both the living and the dead.
