PWR288: The Man Who Invented Flying Saucers w/ Dr. Dean Bertram & Samantha Krause

    07/07/2026 | 1 h 40 min
Most people assume their fascination with UFOs is something they arrived at on their own. A sighting. A documentary. A feeling the official story never quite added up. Almost nobody considers that the cultural framework making flying saucers feel plausible and worth chasing was largely the product of one man sitting behind a desk in Wisconsin, editing a pulp magazine called Amazing Stories.
Raymond Palmer understood that the line between a story and a belief is thinner than anyone wants to admit. When a welder named Richard Shaver began sending letters claiming an ancient subterranean civilization called the Deros was controlling human behavior from beneath the Earth's surface, Palmer didn't file it away. He published it, promoted it, and let it breathe until hundreds of thousands of readers were no longer sure whether they were reading fiction or testimony. By the time Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting gave the world the term flying saucer, the audience Palmer spent years cultivating was ready and waiting.
Tonight, Dr. Dean Bertram, historian and filmmaker behind the award-winning documentary short The Shaver Mystery, and his filmmaking partner Samantha Krause, Wisconsin native and co-creator of Home Movie Legend Trip, take us down that rabbit hole. Who invented flying saucers? And what does that mean for the disclosure conversations happening right now?

    IRH 287: Moon Helium-3 & Trump's Quantum Race

    30/06/2026 | 1 h 46 min
On June 22nd, Trump signed two executive orders to win a quantum computing race with China. The mainstream coverage missed something. Quantum computers at scientific scale require Helium-3. Earth's entire annual supply fits in a minivan. The Moon has an estimated one million metric tons of it, and every major space agency is pointed at that surface right now.
The executive orders direct the government to build the first scientifically relevant quantum computer by 2028 and harden every sensitive federal system against quantum-era cryptographic attacks by 2031. Google's president and IBM's CEO were in the Oval Office for the signing. The framing was a technology race with China. That part is accurate. The part nobody reported is what quantum computers actually need to run at scale, where that material exists in abundance, and why the space race suddenly makes considerably more sense when you know.
Two new details emerged this week in the Melissa Casias case. Before she walked out her door on the day she disappeared, she took her toothbrush and her thyroid medication. She left her car, her purse, her keys, and both phones. That is not what someone takes when they are not planning to come back. Her husband has also obtained a protection order against a private investigator harassing the family. Cause of death remains officially undetermined.

IRH 286: White House UAP Council & Scientist Remains Found

    23/06/2026 | 1 h 24 min
Spielberg's whistleblower film opens at forty-four million. Same day, Department of War releases UAP files including a CIA confession admitting decades of lies. White House forms first UAP science council. Missing scientist Melissa Casillas found with a gun her family says wasn't hers.
June 12th: Spielberg's film about a whistleblower opens to forty-four million, his best original opening since Saving Private Ryan. Same day: Pentagon report describes orange orb launching smaller orbs from inside itself. 1992 CIA confession admits spy planes accounted for half of UFO reports in the fifties and sixties, government lying on purpose for decades.
White House assembles first UAP science council, eleven scientists led by Harvard astrophysicists. A prominent skeptic placed on the council to prevent anyone from getting ahead of the evidence.
Melissa Casillas, missing Los Alamos employee, found in New Mexico forest after nearly a year. Handgun beside her family says wasn't hers, in an area already searched. Former FBI agent floats psychological energy weapons as explanation for missing scientist pattern.
Quick hits: SETI rewrites detection rules for first time since 2010. New physics questions if black holes are black holes. Fresh Champ footage at Lake Champlain. Dogman investigation in North Carolina.

IRH 285: Non-Human Bodies Confirmed SPECIAL

    16/06/2026 | 1 h 17 min
On June 9th, 2026, David Grush stood on the steps of the United States Capitol and moved from testimony to action. He was not alone. What happened on those steps, and what was confirmed about Varginha, Brazil for the first time in thirty years, is what this episode is about.
Sitting members of Congress, Leslie Keane, James Fox, and the man who testified under penalty of perjury that the US government has recovered craft of non-human origin assembled at one in the afternoon with a single purpose. Fox opened by asking the President of the United States to declassify the Varginha files. The former Brazilian Minister of Defense confirmed publicly for the first time that in January 1996, a living non-human being was loaded into a police cruiser, transported to a hospital, and subsequently handed over to the US military. The officer who transported it was dead within three weeks. His widow was denied his death certificate and his medical records were seized by the Brazilian army the day after he died.
Jared Moskowitz said plainly the American people were being lied to. Tim Burchett described being told in a classified briefing that the President of the United States is on a need-to-know basis. Leslie Keane asked the question nobody in official capacity has answered: by what authority can any institution on earth withhold confirmation of what may be the most consequential scientific discovery in human history?
This is a special episode. No quick hits, no briefings. Just one story told the way it deserves to be told.

PWR284: 30 Years Chasing the Unexplained w/ Chad Lewis

    11/06/2026 | 1 h 5 min
Chad Lewis has been down more rabbit holes than almost anyone alive. Nearly thirty years of fieldwork, over twenty-five books, and an unwavering commitment to saying "I don't know" without flinching. Tonight he takes us through what three decades of chasing the unexplained actually looks like from the inside.
It started in Elmwood, Wisconsin, with high school UFO sightings and a psychology professor at UW Stout who turned out to be the first researcher to interview George Wheeler. From there the rabbit hole only deepened. Chad talks about how his position on Bigfoot has shifted over thirty years toward something stranger than flesh and blood, the Native American buffer zones throughout the Midwest where paranormal activity clusters, the cosmic trickster theory, and fieldwork in Guatemala tracking the Tata Duende through villages where locals warned him away with complete seriousness.
Also covered: Lake Peppin's sea monster Peppy, the Van Meter Visitor, the Hodag, Wisconsin's paranormal landscape, and what thirty years of sitting with the unexplained does to your worldview.
