Eva O'Neill has been busy and talks to Alan King who announced at last night's TBA National Hunt Breeders' awards that Edwardstone was to retire and we also hear from Overbury boss Simon Sweeting who won the NH breeders award at the event. We hear from Toby Lawes and from Eva with George Boughey ahead of Bow Echo's Sussex Stakes run next week. Tom and Jane give their views on a stellar looking renewal of the King George and Jane suggests prize money is the reason for such an International field. We give our views on the Jamie Insole and Dr Richard Newland split and also hear from Andrea Ryan, the CEO of Treo Eile, about a new collabortaion with Tattersalls.

They begin with the rumours doing the rounds this morning that Kia Joorabchian and his number one jockey David Egan have parted ways and what this might mean for the Amo Racing operation. We bring you an update from Beverley’s chief executive Sally Iggulden before looking head to the racing this weekend as we hear from Naohiro Goda on the Japanese runners in Saturday’s King George as well as Andrew Balding, who’s hoping Kalpana can go one better than she did last year. He also has an update on Dante winner item, who returns to York this weekend. Billy Nash of Timeform has our weekly update and reflects Johanna Walsh’s performance in Saturdays Irish Oaks, as well as a two year-old to note for later this year and next.

Charlotte Greenway in for Nick and joined by the Racing Post’s Lee Mottershead as they kick off by hearing from Ascot’s Nick Smith on their 2025 financials, which paint a very encouraging picture, as do their latest attendance figures. Lee shares his thoughts before looking ahead to the King George there this weekend as we get the latest confirmations through and Josh Stacey gets the latest on last year’s winner Calandagan with the Aga Khan Stud’s racing manager, Nemone Routh. Lee and Charlotte discuss the victory of Johanna Walsh in Saturday’s Irish Oaks before Eva O’Neill has an update on last year’s Group 1 winning two- year-old Zavateri who’s nearing a return before finally, a day early this week, we head around the bloodstock world with Weatherbys and this week end up in Turkey at Emirsoy Stud Farm.
