Jérémy Jacquet emerged as the shared man of the match. Gags praised his composure, while the conversation highlighted his crucial intervention on the line. Both presenters awarded Virgil van Dijk seven, recognising another solid defensive contribution despite reservations about his passing.

Alisson’s clean sheet was balanced against an error, bringing six from Sam and six-and-a-half from Gags. Ronald Araujo divided opinion slightly, with defensive reliability weighed against limitations when asked to advance down the right.

Further forward, fatigue became a recurring explanation. Florian Wirtz received six from Gags and five from Sam, who praised his willingness to demand possession but criticised his execution. Dominik Szoboszlai’s performance also prompted questions about expectations, positional suitability and future leadership.

Alexander Isak offered encouragement. Sam awarded seven, with Gags giving six, and both recognised his improved involvement after the interval. Sam argued that the striker should keep creating opportunities for himself when service is limited.

Bradley Barcola’s restricted supply and the substitutes’ modest impact reinforced concerns about Liverpool’s attacking connections. Discussion of Rio Ngumoha stressed the need for development, better decisions and combination play.

Gags identified fatigue as a central issue, arguing that a third match in a week exposed a squad still adapting to more demanding football. Sam agreed that Liverpool’s best moments arrived in short bursts of pressing and intensity, followed by periods of passivity that allowed Fulham to settle.

The midfield attracted the strongest criticism. Both questioned the balance between Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai, highlighting positional discipline, defensive awareness and the quality of Liverpool’s progression.

Their concern extended to Florian Wirtz, whose attacking influence, they argued, suffered because he was repeatedly required to cover deeper areas.
