In today’s episode of the AIOps Corner podcast, we highlight clips from the Ask me Anything session Bala Rajaraman, IBM Fellow and Master Inventor hosted at the AIOps Technical Council (AOTC 2026).  Bala fields questions from Joe Lavallee a Systems Programmer at Bank of America and Ramu Kristam a CICS Systems Programmer at Truist Financial.  Bank of America was interested in a real use case for AI to satisfy enterprise operations management requirements.  Truist Financial was interested in learning how optimization can be achieved with OpenTelemetry across multiple vendor solutions within the enterprise.  As always Bala shares his insights from navigating AI solutions and proposals across multiple client engagements.

In today’s episode of the AIOps Corner podcast, Executive Producer Mary Gorczynski goes rogue and interviews Wayne Bucek, Technical Sales Specialist, IBM Z AIOps, and MP Welch, Mainframe Performance Specialist for a Financial Institution.  While at the AIOps Technical Council 2026 event, the 3 talk about MP’s success with IBM Z AIOps solutions including IBM Z Operational Log and Data Analytics and Common Data Provider.  They discuss moving from correlated solutions for analytics, to the possibilities with IBM Concert for Z to eliminate the noise to deliver value faster.  Beyond that they look towards progressing to a future focused on agentic AI with IBM watsonx Assistant for Z.  MP tells us that “AI doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be better than HI (Human Intelligence)”.
