Edison Bixby is wealthy, handsome, and, due to a traumatic brain injury, impulsively rude. He’s also a brilliant insurance investigator who solves baffling crimes by figuring out how the design of the man-made world around us makes them possible. Enter Wally Nash: a struggling actor hired to keep Bixby from offending everyone he meets.
Their first case together looks like a simple accident. Caroline Crowley took a nasty fall down a staircase at a shopping mall in front of dozens of witnesses. Video clearly shows the deadly misstep. But Bixby is certain she was murdered by design, subtly manipulated into causing her own demise. The mall itself made the crime intentional, if not inevitable.
Now Bixby must prove his outrageous theory before a very cunning killer gets others on his hit list to murder themselves, too.

True Crime Tuesday Presents: Curse of the Blumenthals with Professor of Journalism/Researcher/Author, Phyllis Karas!
The Blumenthals are one of millions of Eastern European Jewish families who immigrated to the United States at the end of the nineteenth century. Settling in Providence, Rhode Island, they grow and prosper. During Prohibition, the Blumenthals became bootleggers—starting their fraught history with alcohol and crime. Once Prohibition is repealed, Barney Blumenthal opens a liquor store in Boston. Life is good—until fate intervenes.
In May 1935, a drunk driver took the lives of six Blumenthals, including three children. Horrific photos run in newspapers across the country. Six months later, Ronnie Blumenthal is born: a phoenix rising from the ashes of devastation, a golden child upon whose blond head the family’s hopes and dreams are placed. He grows into a handsome and spoiled teenager, driving a fast convertible and surrounded by beautiful girls. The Blumenthal legacy is resurrected—until one July night in 1954, when he is arrested for murder.
The victim is his mother’s seamstress, who was allegedly having an affair with his father. Newspaper and TV coverage is relentless. Ronnie pleads guilty, yet dark questions remain unanswered. Upon Ronnie’s release from prison, his drunken behavior causes the family—who faithfully visited him behind bars—to finally wash their hands of him. At the end of his life, not one family member will contribute to his funeral. The once golden child is buried in a pauper’s grave, etching the Blumenthal curse in stone.

We measure the world with finite concepts such as up and down, left and right, dark and light, north and south, and so on. In this reality of many realities, our world is a quantum leap beyond our perceptions, so vast that it is understandable that we should feel safer mapping our perceptual plot of land in the universe. It is when we spend our lives nurturing the existence of that perceived plot of land that we lose sight of the vast valleys beyond, as we are convinced that plot is all there is. 
What if the parameters were all false?
In the book "Paranormality," Stan takes you on a journey of out-of-body experiences, reality-shifting visions, meetings with powerful entities, memorable hauntings, and more. You may be reading this because you have questions of your own about life. This journey is proof that the most unusual events can happen to people just like you. By sharing these true stories, I hope to normalise the skill of inquisition, as we all benefit from learning from each other’s experiences, leading us to a greater understanding of life itself and an appreciation of each other’s individual pool of knowledge.
