True Crime Tuesday presents The Inconvenient Truth: Eddie James Mysteries Book 1 with Broadcaster/TV Personality/ Crime Expert/ Author, Alan R. Warren!
In 1968, Boston police lieutenant Eddie James is expected to follow in the footsteps of his celebrated father. But when a gay art dealer is brutally murdered, Eddie watches his department choose the easiest suspect instead of pursuing the truth.
Daniel Cross is frightened, vulnerable, and innocent. That does not stop a corrupt detective, an ambitious prosecutor, and powerful men behind the scenes from building a case against him. As Eddie fights to expose what really happened, he uncovers evidence linking the murder to the Duck Club—a secretive network of extremists once associated with his late father.
The investigation costs Eddie his badge and nearly his life. With his sharp-witted former secretary, Arthur Bell, he leaves Boston for Seattle, determined to discover why his father spent years traveling west in secret.
Then an entire family is murdered on Christmas Eve.
A yellow cab was seen watching their house. Its driver, David Rusk, belongs to the Duck Club, knows disturbing details about Eddie’s family, and carries secrets of his own from Boston. To stop him, Eddie and Arthur must enter a world of political paranoia, buried police corruption, and violence disguised as patriotism.
Some lies protect reputations. Others condemn the innocent. And sometimes the most dangerous truth is the one everyone finds convenient to ignore.
On Today's True Crime Tuesday, we discuss the switch from true crime writing to becoming an author of crime fiction, how long Alan had been contemplating the process, his character creation, and the brilliant plot of this new book, and the series to follow! (Make sure you listen for a special offer from Alan)!

Darkness Radio presents: Ghosts Explained: An Objective Look At The Paranormal with Paranormal Researcher/Author, J. Allan Danelek!
The concept of and the belief in ghosts transcend every culture and tradition, leading one to suspect there may be some underlying fact behind the mythology. Rather than prove or disprove the existence of ghosts, J. Allan Danelek gives you a better perspective from which to consider the issue and decide for yourself.
Featuring case studies, hypotheses, and in-depth research, this book explores a wide variety of topics: the source of consciousness, the complex definitions of interactive and non-interactive manifestations, the psychology of ghosts, and the mechanics of a haunting. Discover tools of the ghost hunter's trade, delve into spirit communication techniques, and learn how to protect against evil entities. Along the way, you'll gain a greater appreciation of our mysterious world.
On Today's show, we sit down with Jeff and talk about why his outlook on the paranormal has stiffened up to the skeptical side. We take a look at everything from what a ghost is defined as to getting into proper investigation techniques, and even basic equipment that is a NECESSITY before hitting the road to do an investigation (one of these musts may shock you coming from a skeptic!).

rue Crime Tuesday presents: Riptide: Cartels, Cocaine, and an Undercover Cop's Fall from Grace with former Undercover Narotics Agent/ Author, Javier Guzman, and former Assistant Attorney General/Author, Elizabeth Guzman!
Javier—a Spanish-speaking, street-smart cop who had grown up in the South Bronx—is a decorated cop who produces results. Recently awarded Officer of the Year, he is married to a beautiful and brilliant attorney, Elizabeth. Javier knows exactly what he’s getting into when he goes undercover in Operation PROMO, infiltrating a savage Colombian drug cartel. He lives on the edge every day, with shotguns pressed against his forehead, threats of torture, and constant fear of being discovered and/or killed.

Things are not as they appear in the wilderness of mirrors; that is the reality of an undercover narc. Javier becomes mired in a living web of lies, deceit, and betrayal, where surviving the day is a victory. As the strain increases, the cracks begin to appear, yet Javier's calls for help are dismissed. The black-and-white lines that governed his life and made him a coveted undercover cop blur. Javier begins to sympathize with the people he is supposed to be targeting.
On Today's program, Javier and Beth detail Javier's upbringing in New York, his desire to want to fight crime, His rise through the Tampa Police Department, and the Narcotics division! And the appointment to the DEA, and the contacts that led Javier astray and led him straight to a jail cell!
