Architect and engineer Noémie Aureau founded Atelier No'Au after nearly eight years at Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris. Her work brings together technical precision, environmental awareness and a sensitive reading of place.

Architecte et ingénieure, diplômée de l’École polytechnique, de l’École des Ponts ParisTech et architecte HMONP, Noémie Aureau appartient à cette génération de concepteurs qui abordent l’architecture comme une synthèse entre sciences, usages, paysage et matière.

Après avoir travaillé au sein du groupe Saint-Gobain, puis à Londres chez Atelier One, elle rejoint l’agence Renzo Piano Building Workshop à Paris où, durant près de huit années, elle participe à des projets majeurs parmi lesquels le Palais de Justice de Paris, le tribunal de Toronto ou encore l’Opéra d’Hanoï actuellement en chantier.
En 2023, elle fonde sa propre structure, Atelier NOO, avec la volonté d’explorer une architecture plus personnelle, attentive au contexte, aux ressources disponibles et aux enjeux environnementaux contemporains.

Dans cet épisode de Com d’Archi, Noémie Aureau revient sur son parcours singulier, son double regard d’architecte et d’ingénieure, son goût pour la construction, les structures efficientes et les bâtiments capables de bien vieillir. Elle évoque également les figures familiales qui ont nourri sa vocation, son attachement aux sciences comme à la création, ainsi que sa vision d’une architecture durable où l’économie de matière devient source de poésie.

Gemma Milà et Corentin Berger ont tous les deux un sens de l'observation par goût scientifique. Ils décortiquent et recherchent ! Et c'est parce que l'architecture ouvre un champ holistique tant en termes de disciplines qu'en termes de volumétries spatiales qu'ils s'y sont intéressés et rejoints.
