Mayday Plays

The Godsinger crew has crossed the Greenstream, survived Ragged Wood, and secured the parasite cure. Now comes the part nobody planned for: getting Happy laid.

To save him from his own self-destructive heartbreak, Kezza, Bebo, and Zin have to help Happy win over the only thing he's ever truly wanted: the love of his misses, The Kraken. That means surviving its mating ritual, either impress the leviathan or be crushed and pulled into the undereaves.

Between dodging tentacles, managing three enthralled captains, and trying not to become collateral damage in a kaiju romance, the crew will need every trick they've got just to get everyone out alive. It's messy. It's absurd. It might actually work.

This is the final chapter of the Happy Eater tale, but we're hoping to bring you more stories from Rivenwake. Kezza, Bebo, and Zin link up with the crew leaders of the Screw Loose and the Little Rascal to plot an escape from Happy's suicidal embrace. But first, they have to cross the Greenstream, the mighty southern current separating the safety of the Mesoreia from the lawless mangrove jungles of Ragged Wood.

Mile-tall irontide trees sway and crash in unison, threatening to splinter their ships before they even reach the far shore. Survive that, and the real challenge starts: finding the fabled juju bean, a guaranteed cure for parasites, including the happy kind.

But the deeper they push into uncharted Ragged Wood, the closer they're drawn to something they can't outrun: Happy's lady love.

The Godsinger is wrecked. The Screw Loose hit hard and didn't hold back, and now a second ship, the Little Rascal, is bearing down on what's left. Kezza, Bebo, and Zin scramble for a new play. Their survival earns them an audience with the infamous Captain Aurek, commander of the Happy Eater, the galleon they were commissioned to find. What the crew learns aboard it reframes everything they thought they knew about the fate of the ship and the job they thought was almost over.
