2025 was filled with some amazing machine launches, but many of you may remember our 2025 predictions episode, how did we do?? @Prusa3D released the Open Community License, AKA OCL, and we have some opinions on it and how it really impacts open source, their competition, and ultimately the future of prusa machines. And of course, it is 2026, so we have to make some predictions for the 3d printing industry this year!!

Grant:
Tool changers - bambu
Elegoo becomes a MASSIVE competitor to Bambu - RE: DJI investment
INDXXXXXXXX - initial growing pains, but will be a successful launch overall
Less startups
Sls again
Polyjet competitors

Jacob:
6 companies make indx printers or indx clones
More high temp nozzles and hotends 350C+
PPS prices to drop drastically
Enclosed and heated chambers continue
36 or 48v systems
Tool changers
