Summer may be in full swing, but the strange stories never take a vacation.

This week on The Devil's Ledger, Branden Morgan takes you from one of America's most haunted Civil War landmarks to the shadowy tunnels beneath Paris, where history—and perhaps something else—still lingers beneath the streets.

In The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week, we visit Pennsylvania's legendary Sachs Covered Bridge, a Civil War crossing steeped in stories of ghostly soldiers, phantom gunpowder, unexplained cold spots, and shadowy figures said to patrol the bridge more than 160 years after the Battle of Gettysburg.

Then we head underground on The Devil Within, as Campfire Files continues with The City Beneath the City. What begins as an ordinary vacation to Paris becomes something far more unsettling when an American couple ventures into the infamous Catacombs beneath the French capital. Surrounded by the remains of more than six million Parisians, they discover that history may not be the only thing preserved beneath the City of Light.

Over on Criminal Mischief, Carolyn returns with another investigation into the darker side of human nature. She still won't tell Branden what she's working on, so listeners will discover the mystery together when the new episode drops this Tuesday.

On The Slippery, Nancy examines the heartbreaking wrongful-conviction case of Marilyn Mulero, whose coerced confession sent her to death row for a crime she didn't commit. It's a remarkable examination of Detective Reynaldo Guevara, false confessions, and the long road toward justice.

Finally, in This Week in Horror, we spotlight Evil Dead Burn, the newest chapter in Sam Raimi's legendary horror franchise. A secluded family gathering becomes an unforgettable nightmare as an ancient evil transforms a reunion into absolute chaos.
