*Ad Free Version available on Lorehammer Patreon, link below.*The Skitarii are the augmented soldiers of the Adeptus Mechanicus, serving the will of the Tech-Priests in the name of the Machine God. In this episode of Writing Homebrew, we break down how to create your own Skitarii force, from recruitment and cybernetic augmentations to culture, training, organization, weapons, combat doctrine and battlefield roles. We’ll explore how a force should reflect the Forge World that created it, while looking at the common mistakes that can make Skitarii feel like generic cyborg soldiers or unstoppable warriors with no meaningful weaknesses. With plenty of examples of what I’ve seen go wrong, we’ll show you how to build a force with its own identity, purpose and place in the 41st Millennium.Lorehammer Patreonhttps://www.patreon.com/c/lorehammer/membershipOne Time Donationshttps://paypal.me/lorehammerpodcastLink to all Linkshttps://linktr.ee/Lorehammer40k

From Forge Worlds and ancient machines to the Skitarii, Tech-Priests and the Cult Mechanicus, we explore how to build a faction that feels distinctly Mechanicus while still having its own identity. We discuss how to use existing lore as a foundation, create believable traditions and conflicts, develop unique technologies and forge worlds, and avoid making your faction feel like a copy of something already established in the setting.Lorehammer Patreonhttps://www.patreon.com/c/lorehammer/membershipOne Time Donationshttps://paypal.me/lorehammerpodcastLink to all Linkshttps://linktr.ee/Lorehammer40k

In this episode of Writing Homebrew, we break down how to create your own Inquisitor, from the three Ordos Majoris and the countless Minor Ordos to their personal beliefs, Puritan or Radical philosophy, retinue, resources and investigations. We’ll also look at the Inquisition’s most powerful military allies, including the Grey Knights, Deathwatch and Adepta Sororitas, alongside the countless Imperial forces, specialists and levies an Inquisitor can call upon. Most importantly, we’ll look at how to build an Inquisitor who feels like more than a powerful character with a Rosette, by giving them a distinct philosophy, a personal history, people they trust, enemies they hunt and difficult choices that can shape the fate of entire worlds.Inquisition Builderhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1dcX8YkiF_eeyLZKFrUmUqOoazYp0XnYSqmVPk91KLwQ/edit?usp=sharingLorehammer Patreonhttps://www.patreon.com/c/lorehammer/membershipOne Time Donationshttps://paypal.me/lorehammerpodcastLink to all Linkshttps://linktr.ee/Lorehammer40k
