The Timothée Chalamet Podcast

In this episode, Caitlin and Colette are "focused" on Top Gun: Maverick, Joseph Kosinski’s 2022 sequel to the 1986 Tony Scott film starring Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, and many more. Both films are discussed on their own and in relation to each other, as well as why Timmy might like them. Of course, there's a fair number of tangents on the film, theater, and publishing industries, too.

In this episode, Caitlin talks with Ross about Heat, the 1995 Michael Mann film which Timmy said was his “favorite movie of the year” on a call with Anthony Edwards for the 1st Annual Believe That Awards at the end of 2025 (the one where they crowned him White Boy of the Year). Because Heat left a lot to be desired, there's talk about a bunch of other Pacino and DeNiro performances (The Godfather, Analyze This, Dog Day Afternoon, Insomnia), as well as films like The Graduate, Fargo, As Good As it Gets, this year’s Odyssey (no spoilers) and even Mary Poppins. We also talked about broadcast television, so of course Caitlin had to bring up X-Files.

In short, if you like hearing stories about the film and TV industry over the last 50 years, this episode is for you.
