Sometimes Hammer Films were the cutting edge of film making and others definitely facing the wrong way. It's always handy to look at where the studio fitted in the surrounding film landscape.

1967's Christmas release A Challenge For Robin Hood was designed as a fun for all the family crowd pleaser and it's Hammer's very last big screen visit to Sherwood Forest as well as the last film to see men in tights until Mel Brooks thought they were a good idea.

Will it be a cause for celebration or are the lads going to miss running through the trees to the castle?
