The short answer is because it unfortunately proves the rule more than the exception. Many cases do not end well. Sin is intoxicating and hard to give up. For Dylan, he wanted the benefits of God without the relationship, and that wasn't going to work for Father Martins. In this revisit of the case file, Father Martins breaks down a very complex case and the bizarre psychological elements. How could a demon manipulate people into lust? Why would God permit that?
