How a Mexican Learned English: Tips From an English Teacher (Intermediate English Interview)

    15/10/2026 | 10 min
In this episode, I talk with my good friend Rogelio from Mexico. When we first met, I was just learning Spanish and he was just learning English, so I’ve always spoken to him in Spanish and he’s answered me in English. Today, Rogelio is an English teacher in Guadalajara, Mexico! 🇲🇽

He shares exactly how he learned English:
✅ Finding his “why” for learning English
✅ Studying on his own with videos, podcasts, and audiobooks
✅ Full immersion during a six-month internship in California
✅ Why you should practice with people whose English is better than yours
✅ His funny “yellow” vs. “jello” pronunciation story

How are you learning English? Do you have a funny pronunciation story? Let me know!
