- Why does beauty move us to tears? And what does a starlit sky have to do with our salvation? Sr. Rene Noel sits down with Sr. Miriam to discuss beauty as the radiance of God's truth and goodness. Raised among the mountains and ponderosa pines of Flagstaff, Arizona, Sr. Rene Noel shares how a childhood immersed in the beauty of creation opened her heart to the Creator Himself. The conversation flows from art to music to holiness, and the episode closes with a special treat: the two Sisters singing together.

The Sisters will also make a quick call to our friend, Father Joe Malia, to discuss the concept of a Eucharistic Revival and what he's doing in Detroit to ignite a love for this Sacrament.

Linktree Ep. 21: From Moscow to the Motherhouse – Dominican Martyrs Under Communism (Sr. Maria Gemma, O.P.)
17/06/2026 | 1 h 12 minEvery Sister has a beautiful, unique story of how they became a bride of Christ...but not many of them can say they walked by the headquarters of the KGB to attend Mass at the height of Communist rule. For Sr. Maria Gemma, that was just one of many highlights in her journey to the convent. Along the way, she discovered a deep love for the Moscow Dominicans, a fascination with Russian literature, and a calling that could only be satisfied by Christ Himself.

À propos de Dominican Sisters Open Mic
Join host Sr. Miriam, O.P. as she sits down with her Sisters to discuss all things Dominican.
One thing is obvious when you spend time with the Sisters of Mary – if you put a couple of Dominicans in a room together, you don’t need to worry about finding something to talk about. In the words of St. Thomas Aquinas (whose feast day is today), we enjoy “sharing the fruits of our contemplation with others.”
It’s time to share those fruits with the podcast world.
Each Wednesday, you’ll get to listen in on conversations between the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, with occasional guests from outside the community. We’ll be talking “all things Dominican,” and if you know anything about Dominicans, you know just how wide that leaves the door open.
How did a zombie movie lead to Sr. Elizabeth John joining the convent? What did St. Albert the Great teach us about the Sacraments? What does Sr. Mary Bethany recommend for building a life of prayer, and how can Sr. Peter Thomas help you integrate the Liturgy of the Hours into your daily routine?
The topics are endless. The contemplation is fruitful. The conversation is here – Dominican Sisters Open Mic.
