Between 1975 and 2018, Antero wrote and/or directed numerous experimental theatre works. In 1977, he began developing a paratheatrical medium inspired by the work of Jerzy Grotowski combining methods of physical theatre, dance, voice, and standing meditation (documented in his books,"Towards an Archeology of the Soul" and "State of Emergence" plus many videos). In 1980, Antero wrote songs and performed (guitar) in his neo-punk band, The Frozen Beauties. Between 1991-95, he was editor/publisher of Talking Raven Quarterly, a Seattle-based iconoclastic literary journal. Between 1992 and 2002, Antero curated the Nomad VideoFilm Festival, a popular west coast touring showcase of experimental short films and videos. Since 1993, Alli has written and directed numerous underground feature art films screening in limited runs on the west coast arthouse circuit while garnering critical praise. Antero is also a book author and an astrologer.
