We're joined by a very special guest on this episode of The Final FronTia... as singer, songwriter, actress, author and director Hayley Kiyoko joins Tia in the studio!
Hayley Kiyoko is a celebrated pop artist, actress, director, author, and LGBTQ+ advocate. Known for roles in Lemonade Mouth and Insecure, she has gained millions of streams as an artist, won an MTV VMA, sold out tours worldwide, and became a New York Times Best-selling author with her YA novel, Girls Like Girls - which has now been turned into a feature film.
On this episode of The Final FronTia, Tia and Hayley talk about the rejection, redirection and sheer stubbornness it took to bring a story so close to Hayley's heart to the big screen. She talks about growing up without seeing her own experiences reflected in cinema, why representation still matters, and her mission to create stories filled with queer joy, celebration and hope.
Hayley also takes Tia behind the scenes of making her directorial debut, how all the different skills she has picked up throughout her career became part of her director’s toolkit PLUS there's some vacting advice for anyone currently suffering through the nightmare of the self-tape.

It’s a Final FronTia x The Pieces crossover! Bimini joins Tia Kofi for a very special episode looking back at RuPaul's Drag Race UK and what it meant to be part of it.
With the BBC announcing its exit from Drag Race UK, Tia and Bimini reflect on the impact the show had on queer audiences, the importance of free access to LGBTQ+ media, and the conversations around race, sexuality, gender and intersectionality that happened inside the Werk Room.
They talk about the messages they still receive from people who saw themselves represented on the show, including queer viewers around the world - and why losing that platform feels like such a huge blow to the community.
And then it's time for a full Season 2 runway retrospective! Tia and Bimini revisit their highs, lows, questionable choices and iconic moments, from the disastrous sewing challenges to politics. They discuss what they'd change now, which looks deserve a toot or a boot, and why some of their most memorable moments came from simply being completely authentic to who they were.
They also get into the pressure of returning to Drag Race, whether either of them would ever compete again, what the show can realistically offer queens after they leave the Werk Room, and why being booked for an extra gig in Manchester might actually be a more useful goal than expecting instant superstardom.
