BIO
Armela explores music without limits, focusing on connection and emotion through sound: moving from euphoric and captivating atmospheres to dark and introspective sounds. She is always in search of eclectic rhythms, influenced not only by electronic music but also by a wide range of artists and bands outside the club scene.

Born and raised in Italy, with roots in Albania, she lived in Vienna for two years before settling in Barcelona in 2015. With more than ten years of listening, digging, and playing music, her sound has developed through contrast and feeling: blending warm, sensual, uplifting energy with nostalgic, immersive, and hypnotic atmospheres.

Inspired by underground club culture and textures from the ’80s and ’90s, her sets move between groovy and driving sounds, shaped by synth-driven elements, deep basslines, and percussive layers, always balancing intensity with sensitivity.

Based in Barcelona, she has played at festivals and clubs including La Terrrazza, Moog, and Pacha, and has performed in cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Bangkok, and Istanbul, sharing lineups with internationally recognized artists.

From Berlin’s underground grows a sound as alive as a jungle.
Planty Snips brings together two worlds that have more in common
than you’d think: plants and music. Both need time, rhythm, and the right vibe to grow.

Every month, she drops a new DJ mix on the languages music YouTube channel.
Her sets on “Snips with Plants” are melodic, organic, and wind through house like climbing vines.

Her latest release is called “Dracaena.” The track was made in collaboration with Moodfreak
and is named after the dragon tree.

She’s also a regular on the YouTube mix series “Family Business,”
where she showcases her selections.

At languages music, she’s more than just an artist.
She plays an important role in shaping the label.
Planty Snips is building her own ecosystem of groove and botany. And it’s growing.
