What a breath of fresh air this episode is after the intensity and trauma of the season so far. The lightness and warmth of it are such a welcome relief. And what a milestone it is to see Rick and Michonne finally get together. The first time around it felt abrupt to some, but this rewatch has made it clear they were destined for each other from the moment they met. We’re happy to be joined this week by special guest Clare Reterrer, one of the biggest Rick/Michonne shippers I know.

Fans of The Walking Dead know it's so much more than a zombie show. It's an emotionally rich, character-driven series about love and loss, and found family, and the lengths we'd go through to protect the people we care about. That's what's kept us coming back all these years. (And also we like zombies.) I’m Jason Cabassi. My cohost Karen and I started podcasting about The Walking Dead back in 2010. Along the way, I’ve appeared on the show a couple of times as a walker, hosted hundreds of Q&A panels with TWD actors at conventions across the U.S., and eventually teamed up with my current co-host, the witty and insightful Lucy Hinnie. Together—with some incredible guests—we’ve covered The Last of Us and every Walking Dead spinoff, from Fear to Dead City. Right now, we’re enjoying a rewatch of the original series—with the full story in mind—and diving into the moments that still hit hard.
