A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms S1E6 "The Morrow"

    25/02/2026 | 1 h 59 min
Reposted from Dragon ‘Cast, which you can find and subscribe to at: podcastica.com/podcast/dragon-cast

Wendy, Veronica, and Rennie come together to close out Season One with a deep dive into the finale, “The Morrow.” In this episode of Dragon ’Cast, the hosts reflect on how the season’s journey comes to a head, where the characters now stand, and what the closing moments suggest about the road ahead.

They discuss how the finale pays off the themes and tensions built throughout the season, share their overall impressions of the first season as a whole, and consider what this adaptation has brought to George R. R. Martin’s world.

The episode concludes with a Book Talk segment comparing the series to the Dunk and Egg novellas. This final segment contains book spoilers, so listeners who wish to remain show-only should stop listening before Book Talk begins.

Thank you to everyone who listened along this season and sent in feedback. We truly appreciate your thoughtful comments, questions, and support, and we look forward to continuing the journey with you.

    Coldwater (2025)

    23/02/2026 | 1 h 20 min
Reposted from The ‘Cast of Us, which you can find at: https://podcastica.com/podcast/the-cast-of-us

Andrew Lincoln starred in a TV series, and so of course we’re gonna talk about it! Thing is, he plays kind of a berk (that’s British for chode). Coldwater (available on Paramount+ in the U.S.) is a lot of fun though — it’s funny, thought-provoking, and it’s a good old-fashioned thriller to sink your teeth into. I wouldn’t necessarily give it my highest recommendation, but honestly, that fact that Lucy and I had so much fun talking about it made me like it even more. You gotta be ready to see Andrew Lincoln playing a berk though….

Other shows we cover on this podcast:

We cover these other intelligent, engaging, oftentimes delightfully twisted shows:

Fallout (Amazon): A crazy retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic melange of wholesomeness and depravity. One of the best looking shows on TV, funny as hell, violent AF (but in a cartoony way), and with a great cast, including Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones). Not to be missed! Hosted by Jason, Kara, and Kasi.

Pluribus (Apple TV): Everyone is transformed into a pleasant hive mind — except for Carol (Rhea Seehorn), the most miserable woman on the planet, who must save the world from happiness. It’s sounds weird, and it is… in the best way. Created by the great Vince Gilligan, of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Hosted by Jason and Karen!

IT: Welcome to Derry (HBO): A fun, scary, and surprisingly great prequel to the 2016 and 2019 IT movies, Pennywise stalks the children of 1962 Derry. A mix of heart, mystery, charm, and some shockingly disturbing Nightmare on Elme Street-esque horror. Cohosted by Shawn of Strange Indeed.

Alien: Earth (FX): From the brilliant Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), this one really scratches that sci-fi itch. A greedy corporate tech overlord transfers the consciousness of a group of terminally ill children into highly performant synth bodies. And the Xenomorph is in it, too. Also, Tim Olyphant! Hosted by Jason, Kara, and Randy.

“Xander, just because this is never gonna work there’s no need to be negative.”

Penny and Sam dive into this plot and action heavy episode that wraps up most of Season 4’s stories. The conversation ranges from sadly relevant world events from the turn of the millennium, to sarcasm, favorite words, fascism, Andor, the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, Privacy Laws, the outrageous cost of higher education, hangovers, bodily autonomy, heroism, extreme makeovers, Sinners, cults, Pluribus, the human need for community, the One Ring, Riley’s emotional journey, and military culture.

Next time, we’ll be covering Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 4, episode 22, “Restless.”
