AnsweRED Podcast by CD PROJEKT RED

You don’t survive Night City by repeating the past. Just ask any edgerunner.

With Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 now live on Netflix, we invited Bartosz Sztybor, VP, Franchise and Showrunner of the series, and Saya Elder, our Executive Producer – Anime, to join us on the AnsweRED Podcast and take us behind the scenes of its creation.

Together with our hosts, Paweł Burza, Tabletop Games Manager, and Paweł Mielniczuk, Art Director for Project Hadar, they dive into what it took to return to the world of Edgerunners with a brand-new story and build something with an identity of its own.

Turning an idea into a shared vision for a game, and keeping hundreds of people moving in the same direction, is at the heart of game development.

In the latest episode of AnsweRED Podcast, we invited two members of our Cyberpunk 2 team, our VP, Game Director, Gabe Amatangelo and Creative Director, Igor Sarzyński to explore the creative process behind game development together with our hosts, Tabletop Games Manager Paweł Burza and Art Director for Project Hadar Paweł Mielniczuk.

Drawing on their experiences with Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty, Gabe and Igor take us behind the scenes of how ideas are shaped, challenged, communicated, and eventually brought to life by teams across different disciplines.

Five years of REDstreams, countless conversations with players, and moments that have stayed with us along the way — behind it all is a Community team driven by the same passion for games as the people they connect with.

You see a mountain in the distance and decide to explore it. Or spot a neon-lit alley in Night City and suddenly abandon your original destination. Then you discover something interesting exactly where your curiosity led you. That's not luck. That's level design. In the 30th episode of the AnsweRED Podcast, our hosts, Paweł Burza, Senior Communication Manager, and Paweł Mielniczuk, Art Director of Project Hadar, welcome our Senior Level Designer, Marta Dobińska and our Level Design Lead, Miles Tost, for a conversation about shaping level design at CD PROJEKT RED.
