Heather Beaton (Fellow, Engineering Design and Development) TimYee Lee (Safety Officer, Airworthiness, Engineering Design and Development)

TimYee Lee is an industrious, Industrial Engineer and is Bombardier’s Aircraft Design & Development Safety Officer and Manager of Core Airworthiness.  Marking her 28th year with Bombardier, she is a Principal Engineering Specialist having worked on commercial and business aircraft programs; ensuring safety and reliability, from clean sheet design to designs of the next generation.

Heather Beaton is a Fellow in Bombardier’s Aircraft Design & Development engineering organization, providing leadership and decision making to critical strategic, safety and certification decisions across Bombardier sites and platforms.  She has been at Bombardier since 1988 and has held various engineering positions in Bombardier’s product development teams over the years  including:

Product planning and new aircraft studies for new and derivative models with Bombardier’s Advanced Design and Strategic Technology teams

Development, flight test, certification, and continued airworthiness of the CRJ Series, Challenger 300 & 600 Series, Global Express G5/6000, G5/6500 & G7500 Series, and CSeries/A220

Knowledge Owner for the Control Systems Knowledge Domain - Responsible for connecting the Control Systems engineering community and development of sustainable knowledge management practices across all sites - Montreal, Toronto, Wichita and Belfast (2012 - 2018)

Chair SAE International A-6A Systems Integration Committee (sub-committee to SAE A6) - responding to emerging issues and technologies with industry guidance

Founder of Bombardier’s Women in Engineering affinity group ~ 2020, providing networking, mentoring and project opportunities with concrete deliverables to all branches of engineering at Bombardier.

Crosscheck Mental Performance Training

Tammy Barlette is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and fighter pilot with over 20 years of military aviation experience. She concluded her career in 2018 after flying the T-37 Tweet, A-10 Warthog, T-38 Talon, MQ-1 Predator, and MQ-9 Reaper, serving as both a combat pilot and an instructor pilot. She accumulated more than 3,000 flight hours and is a graduate of the prestigious U.S. Air Force Weapons School.

Following her retirement from military aviation, Tammy devoted herself to the study of mental performance training, translating principles used by elite athletes into practical, repeatable tools for pilots. She is the founder and CEO of Crosscheck Mental Performance, where she teaches a popular online course that helps aviators build confidence, improve focus, and perform effectively under pressure.

With over a decade of experience instructing in U.S. Air Force pilot training and more than seven years studying and teaching mental performance, Tammy brings a unique and powerful perspective to general aviation. Today, she is dedicated to equipping pilots with the mental skills they need to thrive both in the cockpit and beyond.
